Whether you’re catching the SkyRail, Scenic Railway or public transport up, you will need a way back down. Here, we provide you with some important information about transportation options with us.

Getting TO Kuranda

We offer private transfers from Cairns and nearby areas, to and from Kuranda. This means a dedicated ride for your group to your selected location, date, and time. For more details on our private transfers, please contact us by email or phone or visit our page here to make a booking. Private Transfers MUST be booked in at least 24 hours in advance.

Please note we do not offer a shuttle bus FROM Cairns.

Returning FROM Kuranda

We proudly stand as the exclusive shuttle bus provider offering a convenient, budget-friendly and reliable transfer solution on weekends only. Our shuttle bus is the fastest connection to Cairns City, taking approximately 45 minutes. Shuttle Bus tickets can be pre-purchased online (click the book now button below) or at the Kuranda Visitor Information Centre on the day of travel - subject to availability. If the shuttle bus timetable doesn’t suit your plans, you can book return private transfer here.

Shuttle Bus pickups are from the Kuranda Village Visitor Information Centre OR the Rainforestation Nature Park,

Departing Kuranda at 3:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday only.

Important Information

Kuranda Rainforest is out of range for most providers. There is extremely limited public transport options (public bus/taxi/rideshare) departing Kuranda, and no public bus service on Sundays. Our shuttle bus is the only service on Sundays. We highly recommend booking your transport ahead of time to avoid disappointment or getting stranded.
